Description
Fibro-adhesive scars are considered a fairly common pathological condition that arises in particular following surgery where tendons and or peripheral nerves are damaged, such as in the hand, foot, knee and shoulder, where the surrounding connectives tissues are also surgically traumatised.
Το NovaBarrier S is a new bioabsorbable combination of hyaluronic (HA) and polylactic acid (PLA) designed to adhere to the damaged tissues and allow their physiological healing, avoiding the excessive production of connective tissue with consequent adhesion formation.
Indicated in hand surgery for: Surgical reconstruction of the tendon and nerve (tenorrhaphy and neurorrhaphy), Tenolysis and neurolysis, Snap finger and De Quervain syndrome, Dupuytren’s syndrome, Carpal tunnel syndrome.
